Accentuate the Beauty of Your Home’s Bay Windows

Bay replacement windows are beautiful additions to any house. Other than increasing the flow of light and provide views of the outside that a normal window cannot give, bay windows can also give the illusion of a larger room. Although it is difficult to dress bay windows, it is very beautiful once dressed with the correct dressings.
Bay window curtains are always a good choice to make your bay window look pretty especially long panels or cafй-style windows suits bay windows and can be further accentuated by hanging panels between them. You can hang the panels to the ceiling for a more dramatic result. You can also top your cafй curtains with a long valence which creates a bistro effect and also provides privacy if your bay window overlooks a public area.
Cafй curtains are mounted on the lower half of the window and stop at the bottom of the frame. This decoration style is best for your kitchen and you can also add a small bistro-style table and chairs to create an inviting breakfast nook. You can also style window curtains to create different effects to your room.
Opt for window shapes if your bay window has decorative molding that you want to show off. There are many shades to choose from such as the roller shade which rolls straight up and down from the top. Valance is also a good way to accentuate your bay if privacy and light control is not your concern. You can also consider installing stained glass, etched or frosted glass and glass block for something beautiful to look at while providing a little bit of privacy.
Next is to use your bay window space to further accentuate the beauty of your bay window. However, do not overwhelm your window space and consider the level of detail in your window designs or dressings and the surrounding furniture to determine how to complete the space. While minimal accessories are required to complete elaborate window treatment or closely-adjacent seating area, you might need a little extra accessories for a secluded spot with some smaller furniture.
