Legacy Bank of Florida has filed a foreclosure lawsuit against the Caldwell Theatre Company, claiming the Boca Raton-based theater has failed to repay nearly $6 million in debt on its new playhouse.
In a lawsuit filed this month in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, Legacy Bank alleges the theater is behind on two notes: One for $2.88 million and the other for about $3 million.
Reports of Caldwell’s financial problems have swirled for some time. Clive Cholerton, artistic director, said the theater is weighing a debt reorganization, possibly through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

Check home’s permit history before buying or selling
Posted on February 5th, 2012
It’s a good idea to check the building-permit record on a home you’re planning to buy before you remove your inspection contingency. Although buyers are advised to take this important step, many don’t. This can result in unpleasant consequences.
Some planning departments won’t allow you to take out a permit to do additional work on your home if there are outstanding or expired permits that never received final approval from a city building inspector.
The buyer of a home in the hills above Oakland, Calif., had to clean up a lot of the previous owner’s poorly done work before she could begin the work she wanted to have done on the home.
In one instance, buyers received a copy of the permit record on the home they were purchasing before they removed their inspection contingency.

How to Hire a Moving Company
Posted on January 18th, 2012
It’s easy to find a responsible mover to assist you in your move in the Austin area. There are many moving companies to compete for your business, and whatever you’re moving needs, you’re sure to find someone to suit you. Don’t begin by assuming that all moving companies will provide an equal level of service, though. Both their prices and their service can vary a lot, so it’s important to check them out carefully before choosing.
Hire a company based as close to your home as possible. There are plenty of Briarcliff moving firms for those who live in Briarcliff, Elgin firms for those in Elgin, et cetera. You don’t need to pay someone to come a long way to you. Check their Full article…

I still remember the Broadway musical Fiorello!, based on the life of the popular New York City mayor, Fiorello LaGuardia, a reform Republican who served three hectic terms from 1934 to 1945.
In one of the musical’s songs, an investigative committee demands to know how Mr. X, a minor city official, can afford a private yacht…
An offended Mr. X bursts into song:
I am positive your Honor must be joking! Any working man can do what I have done. For a month or two I simply gave up smoking, And I put my extra pennies one by one Into a little tin box… That a little tin key unlocks.
Like Mr. X, it
